The differences between Cartridge Types

What are the differences between Original, Remanufactured and Compatible Inkjet Printer Cartridges?
This article explains the principal differences between the different Inkjet cartridge types. For a detailed description of which cartridges fit your printer, then visit our shop, select your printer, and full details on the supplies for your Inkjet Printer will be displayed.

The quality of our Compatible and Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridges are on a par with the Original Cartridges, and are fully guaranteed under our "no quibble" guarantee; "your statutory rights are unaffected".

Original Manufacturers (OEM) Cartridges
These items are the same as supplied with your printer when you purchased it. They are made by the original manufacturer of your printer. Be aware however, that some cartridges are sometimes in "Hi-Yield" versions at a small extra cost, but contain more ink and are more cost effective. Our website shows full details of all our products, so that you may make a choice. Many manufacturers supply different capacities of cartridge that contain different amounts of Ink. Compatible Inkjet Cartridges

The Cartridges are NOT produced by the original manufacturer, but work in place of the original cartridge. These items will not damage your printer; (we have a comprehensive guarantee if your printer is damaged by any of these products!) They function in exactly the same way as the original, but at a FRACTION of the price! Compatible cartridges are not available for every printer; if a Compatible cartridge is not available then a remanufactured one maybe; (see below). If an alternative version of the original cartridge is available, then it will be either a compatible or remanufactured version. Recently some Original Manufacturers have been putting a small "chip" on the cartridge. Compatible cartridges may also contain a chip (like the original); these are called Chipped Compatible Cartridges. Compatible Inkjet Cartridges are generally available for Epson and Canon Printers.

Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridges
Where Compatible cartridges are not available for your printer, (usually on cartridges that contain the print head), then remanufactured cartridges may be available instead. These are Original Cartridges that have been used before, and then remanufactured and refilled. We only sell remanufactured cartridges that have undergone stringent quality control and perform on a par with the Original Cartridges. Remanufactured Cartridges are generally available for Hewlett Packard, Lexmark and some Canon Printers. Check our website for full details.
