- MacUser gives Hi-Ti 730PS 5/5! The HiTi Photo Printer 730PS really breaks the mould: it's easy to use, flexible and produces excellent quality thermal dye sublimation prints straight from a media card - no Mac required - MacUser - Full Article (PDF file)
Megapixel.net - Hi-Ti 630PS (now 631PS)
"This is truly an impressive product. Over time we've had the opportunity to try a variety of printers and, probably to no one's surprise, continuous tone printers have been the only ones able to produce a photo that is completely indistinguishable from a photo store print.." - megapixel.net - Full article
Photo-i.co.uk - Hi-Ti 640PS "For a professional studio photographer the HiTi printer gets my vote of the day." - Photo-i.co.uk - Full Article.
PC Review - Hi-Ti 730PS "The final result from the printer is outstanding, and when paired with a super high-res camera, the results are even more stunning. There is no doubt that this truly rivals a photo lab - but with all the more convenience. If you are after a printer that can print straight from a digital camera, without the use of a PC, I highly doubt there will be a solution to rival this." - PC Review.
Imaging Resource.com - Hi-Ti 730PS
"The 730PS isn't just a good idea. It's a well-executed concept that performs at a consistently high level (which is why it's little brother, the 640PS, won the DIMA Shoot-Out). You won't find an inkjet printer built as solidly, a company as dedicated to perfecting its products -- or a cheaper way to get the best print from your images. But most importantly, you'll be thrilled every time you click on Print. And that's a revolutionary thought." - Imaging-Resource.com - Full article
StevesDigicams.com - 730PS
"I've received numerous emails from new owners of HiTi printers that we've reviewed and I'm happy to report that the response has been totally positive. They're thrilled by the performance and low cost of making their own "jumbo" prints at home from their digital cameras." - steves-digicams.com - Full article
The Photographer - Kodak 1400 - "A licence to print money"
These Printer are extremely low maintenance, without any of the head clogs associated with inkjet printers.
If you photograph events, such as golf days, dance clubs or black tie 'dos' and charge £15 each for a 10"x8" print that's a gross profit of £13.50 each - At this rate 30 prints would cover the cost of the printer and the remaining 20 prints would return a pure profit of £270 - It reminds me of Lord Thompson's famous remark about ITV being a license to print money.
