Winners at DIMA 2005
The winners of the 2005 DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out were announced today at the PMA 2005 Convention and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida.

Winners, displayed during PMA 2005, were chosen from 122 prints entered by 37 companies.

Entries in the DIMA Digital Printer Shoot-Out were produced from files created by colour workflow experts Chromaticity, Grand Rapids, Mich.

Participants were asked to provide specification information pertaining to the equipment used (printer, RIP); the consumables used (output media, ink/toner/dye); and the production timing. A panel of expert judges voted on the entries, based on the overall quality of the digital print and the accuracy of colour as compared to the "target" print. The panel of judges included some of the most well-respected names in the industry, including Roy Bohnen, Richard Lerner, Eric Harsh, Brian Mundy, and Steve Olock.

Hi-Touch Imaging Technologies (HiTi) is proud to announce that it has won the DIMA 2005 Digital Printer Shoot-Out, for both the 4x6 inch and 5x7 inch digital printer categories, at the 2005 Photo Marketing Association (PMA) trade show held in Orlando, USA from 20–23 February 2005. This is the third year HiTi has won the prestigious DIMA awards in the Company’s 4-year history. This year, the HiTi Photo Printers 641PS and 730PS each took the first place in the 4x6 inch or less and the 5x7 inch categories respectively, in the DIMA 2005 Digital Printer Shoot-Out; winning out over a list of very respectable competitors (see tables below). PMA is one of the world’s most important events for the global photographic industry dating back more than 80-years since 1924. Usually more than 30,000 entries take part in this great meeting every year including imaging industry giants Sony, Canon, Fuji Film and Kodak.
