Installing your KODAK 1400 Photo Printer
There are eight simple steps that need to be followed. Take each step one at a time, read the instructions carefully and you should have no problems at all. If you have any problems during installation then contact us.

Step 1 - Find a suitable location

Step 3 - Load the Ribbon Carrier
Step 4 - Install the Printer Driver
Step 5 - Connect the USB
Step 6 - Load the Paper Tray
Step 7 - Install the Dust Cover
Step 8 - Make a Test Print

 

Step 3 of 8 - Load the Ribbon Carrier

Media (ribbon and paper) is not included with the 1400 Printer and must be purchased separately:

• Press the OPEN button to open the top cover.
  
  
  
• Remove the new ribbon from its packaging. IMPORTANT: Touching the dye patches could contaminate the ribbon, resulting in scratches on your prints.
  
  
  
• Set the new ribbon on the ribbon carrier as shown below.
  
  
  
• Firmly snap the ends of the ribbon spools into the ribbon carrier.

• Grasp the ribbon carrier by the handle, and slide the spool onto the two Introduction hubs on the left side.

• Push the ribbon carrier against the hubs on the left until it can engage the two holders on the right.

• Turn the supply spool until the ribbon is taut, then close the top cover.
