Installing your KODAK 1400 Photo Printer
There are eight simple steps that need to be followed. Take each step one at a time, read the instructions carefully and you should have no problems at all. If you have any problems during installation then contact us.

Each step is described in detail:

Step 1 - Find a suitable location
Step 2 - Unpack the Printer
Step 3 - Load the Ribbon Carrier
Step 4 - Install the Printer Driver
Step 5 - Connect the USB
Step 6 - Load the Paper Tray
Step 7 - Install the Dust Cover
Step 8 - Make a Test Print

 

Step 4 of 8 - Install the Printer Driver

IMPORTANT: You must install the printer driver before you connect the USB Cable. The following instructions assume that you are familiar with MICROSOFT WINDOWS or MACINTOSH Operating Systems and terminology.

  • Turn OFF the 1400 Printer.

  • Insert the CD in the CD drive on your computer.

  • Select your language.

  • Select Printer Driver.

  • Follow the instructions to install the appropriate driver for your printer.

  • Connect the 1400 Printer to your computer.

  • Press the POWER switch to turn ON the printer.

  • MACINTOSH Operating System only:

    You must add the printer to the list of available printers.

    A) Launch the Printer Setup Utility (Applications / Utilities / Printer Setup Utility).
    B) Select the Add button.
    C) Select the USB selection type from the drop-down menu.
    D) Select the printer name, then click the Add button.

    The 1400 printer appears in the list of printers installed in the Printer Setup Utility.

  • The printer driver should now be fully installed.
